375 Lionel Postwar Turntable

Hey Ya'll

When I build my layout I would like to have a roundhouse (3 or 4 Stalls). I would like to use a Lionel 375 Turntable.

But I'm having a hard time finding info on the Turntable, much less the Turntable it's self.

Please, if anyone has info, I would appriciate it.

From David Doyle's Standard Catalog of Lionel Trains, 1945-1969:

375 TURNTABLE: This rather odd battery-powered accessory was offered in 1962-64. The two D-cell batteries supplied the power to drive the turntable in one direction; it had no reverse. Numerous small parts came with this, making it difficult to find today in "Excellent: or "Like New" condition."

Even though I'm a Lionel guy, I would suggest you look at other turntables, such as those made by Atlas. A complete Lionel turntable is a collector's item, but not sturdy or versatile enough to use for day-to-day layout operations.

Thanks,

I think I will look into the Atlas Turntable
