Snap together track
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, December 26, 2005 8:46 PM
I just bought some snap together HO track to put aroung the Christmas tree. It ran ok for a few minutes but when we tried it Christmas morning the train would go a few feet and stop. any suggestions?

It sounds like the track has come apart just enough to loose electrcal contact between sections. You have a dead spot.

You may want to run another feeder connection to the other end of the track. Also, as George suggests, you may have a contact problem. If you run the track on carpet, or on a uneven surface, it can cause a break in contact.
Good Luck,
Dennis
