Making Lionel Switches a bit less obtrusive

Post war Lionel switches are just big:



I sent a work crew out to see what they could do:



They managed to take the edge of with a neat little fence to take away some of the bulk of the switches and teh rotating switch lanterns will still show nicely.

Three $0.25 strips of balsa and a little paint. Probably got a buck and an hour's worth of work in it, including time for the glue to dry.
