Question about F3 motor.

The motor is horizontal type, and all my f3 have a ball bearing except this one and the brush plate nimber is 2343-120 insted 119??????.

Hello andregg! Which motor do you have? The F3s had 2 versions; A Horizontal version made from 1948-54 and a vertical made from 1955-66. The Armature Shaft should have Ball Bearings & Thrust Washers on both types of Motors. From your description it sounds like your Motor has a homemade brushplate.Go to Olsen's Toy Train Parts on your computer and they should have pictoral diagrams of the version you have and they will show all of the parts that go with it. Hope this helps you out.

Hi to All
I statr to maintence a F3 motor bought in ebay, and is diferent that my other f3 motor. Means is with out ball bearings, and tinplate carbon brushe housing insted brass, and is with out lionel name in the collector cap.
Somebody know the year and any other information?
