Yeah George, I kind of forgot about the diesels. They were never really touted as being scale, but I have seen them converted to 2 rail, so they must be close.

I have sevreral of those lamp posts on my layout. They seem to look pretty good. I like them anyway. Lionel did make some scale models. The F-3,the Hudson, the GP-9 and the NW-2 are all very close to scale propotioned. Othe locomotives were somewhat undersized although I think they still have the visual impact of a scale model.

Those are a #76 lamp post, made for much of the postwar era, and beyond. I always thought that they were very tall, but if you look at real street lamps, most do tower above the top of a train.

Scale???? I wouldn't go that far. How about those crossing signals? Scale with Lionel is a much more modern concept, except for a couple of Hudson models.[swg]

I thought I posted this but now I cannot find it....

I bought some lamp posts to put on the layout I'm doing for my son's Christmas present (Thomas Lionel O scale)....

These are the posts:

I received them, however they seem really tall....I have no idea what their item number is or any other info...

Are these truly O scale? They tower over other accessories....

Any info would be helpful...

Thank you!
