Need to Identify Lionel Lamp Post

Those are #76's, #71 is diecast with gray paint, and ever so slightly taller.

I bought some lamp posts for my son's Lionel Thomas layout off of Ebay...

They are listed as O scale but seem really tall...

Can anyone identify exactly what lamp posts they are (Lionel #71???) AND if in fact they are O scale....

I'm trying to figure it out before screwing them to the layout....
