I saw an interview on TCM with the actor who played "Timmy". He says he still has the train. Now THAT'S a collectible!

I just finished watching the original on TCM. Not only liked the trains but actually liked the movie too. Wayne
And the film was remade in 1996 and supposedly the train set was a player which set was it?
Was trying to delete post, and didn't get all the letters out.

gvdoblerIn the original with Robert Mitchum. I know it is Lionel but what set or any info. Was there a Red Rocket Express set or just one just repainted for the movie? Thanks in advance.========================As posted above, the Lionel (former "Santa Fe") locomotive and passenger cars (former "Lionel Lines" were both repainted and labled "Red Rocket Express".According to Gordon Gebert, the boy who played Timothy Ennis, he was given the train set when the filming ended. This must be one of the most valuable Lionel train sets in existance... as it is one of a kind..
