The only way to desribe it is that it looks like a tank tread, it is very strong with nice wood ties. Becaue of the little joints that allow it to roll up , it may be a little noisy.

Another board said this stuff was made in the 50's . It looks like it by the advertising.

I may pick up the other box and let him use it for his thomas floor layout. Make kind of a living layout , you can move it around and change it.

What are the tracks made of? If it's on a roll, the tracks must be very flexible.. I think due to the very easy reforming of the tracks that it wouldn't be suitable for building a permanent layout. Heavy trains could easily deform the track.. But, as you do, I never heard of this kind of track before and never seen it.

My wife was shopping today and found a box of track that I have never seen. It's called Flex-I-Track. It comes in a roll ( the box and paper work in the box are in great shape). This stuff looks indestructable.

It is made like a 3 Rail Tank tread and has wood ties.It is supposed to hold a 200 lb man on it. It's supposedly easier to setup , you just roll it out! The price was 3.50 for a 10Ft section. The flyer looks very 50's but it's hard to date it?

Flex-I-Track Products Benton Harbor, MI.

Possibly distributed by Parfait Products 14500 N. Odgen Ave Chicago.

Does anyone have any info/history on this stuff?
