That was quite the bargain. My feeling is whenever you can get a TMCC engine for under $250, you're doing good. A couple of weeks ago I picked up a BN SD-60 for about what this D&H went for. With shipping and insurance, it was still under $200.

Deals are out there if you are willing to do some digging and be patient.

Colin, start saving your money, and watching ebay. Watching is free. I watch at least 100 auctions for every one I win. I don't have a lot of money to spend either. 2 engines for about $415 total was my limit for 2005.

Hello Colin! Did the Trading Post have what you're looking for? They usually price their Trains below MSRP. Good Luck.
