Have you tried Greenberg's price guide for Lionel? It will give you an idea of what your trains are worth. You will need to provide as much information as you can about your train set or no one will give you a good estimate.

Karl is correct in what particulars are needed to determine approximate set value. You could even do your own research on eBay to find out what similar sets are going for there.

Howdy!

Welcome to the forum!
I just joined as well and the guys have been great at helping me so
I am sure they can help you!

You are going to need to tell people the set number(if you have the set box)
and or the numbers on the engine, tender, and cars!
Also what you believe to be the condition!

Good luck!

I have an old train set that has been in my family over fifty years. Anyone advise on finding out its value and how best to get a fair price.
