Boscov's online also has quite the bargain on Lionel's Area 51 set.
Through Sunday, Hobby Lobby has all train sets 50% off. There's also a separate 40% off one regular price item coupon printable off their website

A few years ago a department store in northeast PA was selling K-Line brand products,
the store's name is Boscov's and look in the toy or hobby section.

Not a dept store but I got my Wisconsin Central set last year at Menards, on sale (in December) for $109.00 was at $159.00. They have more of that set on the shelves with the add on set of 3 more Wisconsin Central cars,, add a crossover fastrak, add a passing loop fastrak and a few others.

Since this is the time of year to expect some Dept. Store train sets, I thought I would ask this fine group if anyone knows of locations of the year's finds? Last year, I got several Sears Craftsman boxcars made by MTH/RailKing for $9.00 each. Please post any finds that the rest may be interested (ie: JC Penny, etc). Thanks and Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays guys.
