Keith, Thanks for the response. I actually have a 1033, just need to replace the power cord. I was hoping to just do a project/improvement on the CW80. If it works, great, if not I am sure I can use the guts for some other project. Thanks for the suggestion for Olsen Toy Train Parts. I will give them a call.

Hello Dweimer! You probably should cut your losses and get rid of the CW-80 and find a 1033 90 Watt Transformer! They are plentiful and affordable to boot! For your next Question. Look up Olsen Toy Train Parts on your computer. They have light Bulbs and Wire for your Passenger Cars and they may be able to help out with frosted glass for your windows. Hope this helps you out. Good Luck.

A few questions
Posted by dwiemer on Friday, November 18, 2005 6:49 AM
I know this is the place for some help. I have a CW80 that went on the blink- I believe it to be the fuse mentioned in a earlier post for another lister. I was thinking of converting the fuse to a like size circuit breaker so I don't have to keep opening the case. Any suggestions? This is the transformer that Lionel already sent a new replacement for, so if it does not work, I am not at a loss.

Next question. I have some old passenger cars (6442, etc) from the 1949 collection. I would like to repair the lights and replace the wiring, but also would like to put a frosted "Glass" inside. Any suggestions for replacement wire and what are you using for glass? How are you attaching it? I figure these projects will be good to keep me busy while I wait for warmer weather.
Thanks for the imput,
Dennis
