If you have never been to the Wall, a National Cemetery or one of the many monuments honoring the sacrifices made by many, you should do so, and take your kids. I always suggest that you see the wall on a crisp night because it is stunning.

At the State Capital in Columbus, there is an outdoor monument that is very unique. Engraved in stone are letters from the various wars sent home from the front. It is worth seeing when you are downtown Columbus. First person accounts are much more revealing than the media of the day.

This Vet traveled on Verterans Day but really those who gave it all are the one to remember. Go to the "Wall" if you get a chance. Got some "buddies" and one guy who grew up on the farm with me on there. [:(]

Joe, you're not really a "Vet" until you're out of the service. [:D]
Best Wishes Buddy, see you at York.

Hi guys,
I just wanted to say thanks to all for the thoughtful emails I received on Veterans Day from members for this forum. You’re a good bunch. I’m also glad to hear that so many folks were inspired to build their own Fastrack layouts after reading about my layout in the September CTT. I’m already designing an 8x20 ft layout featuring 60 in Fastrack curves to build when I get back.
Thanks again guys!

Joe Bolton
