2 boys and a girl, 1688! Got my hands full! All are certified train nuts. It's trains 24/7 with the boys. My daughter likes to paint structures and figures, and help with the scenery. I never spent any time with my father. Well, we built a bird house together once. He was always doing his own thing with his buddies. He passed away when we were all still young. I was the oldest at 8 years old. Toy trains are a perfect venue for a father and his kids to spend time together. Long after I'm gone, they will remember the hours spent in our basement running trains. There is nothing more important than one's family.

As for Williams, trains - given the choice between a postwar Berk, Hudson, or Turbine and a replica from Williams, I'd take the williams. Great warranty, brand new right out of the box, great pullers and smokers. The bell and whistle aren't the greatest, but so what. Williams rolling stock is also really high quality and have some heft to them. If I was loaded, I'd buy just about everything they make!

Every month I receive a flyer for sales and closeouts that there having, AND not to mention that your receive a free freight car of your choice. On the back of the new CTT is the add for the williams sale, heres the # 410-997-7766. Hope this helps

Thanks, I'll give them a call. The website is too frustrating to use--whenever you look at a page and click Back, it goes all the way out to the homepage instead!

I've read about this sale at Williams in a few places, but when I go to their website, I don't see anything about it. Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Peter

Their web site says they are not in business(?) anymore. Do you have yours already?

Thanks, John. Williams is indeed having a great sale. Unfortunately for me, the roof needs repairing and the house is being sided as we speak. Not a lot of left over train money for a while.

Although there is one exception. I had already pre-ordered Percy before the house gods zoinked me. I'll honor the pre-order - for the kids.

I'd like an MRC dual controller.

And a Williams Turbine.

Oh, and a Williams Hudson.

Ok, ok. Just about anything Williams makes.

A B&A State of Maine box car.

Maybe a gift certificate to Charles Ro (any amount).

Lionel Percy - for the kids.

A warm, snowless winter. Hey, it's a wish list, right?

If you are just "getting into" trains, this will be a Christmas you'll never forget.
