You can remelt them using a heat gun.

However, Model Railroader once used them on a project layout (N scale Wisconsin Central) and they were not happy with teh results. Any sunlight caused it to crack (which could be reheated and fixed, but extra work) and lots of people on the Model Railroader forum have complained about it. The nice thing is (according to those forumites) that if it turns out bad, you can just peel the entire thing out as a plastic mass.

Try it before you commit to it. [:)]

Roy, HOw did you reheat it [?] I have it and yes it drys clear, but I also have an area that needs some repair. Mine is on plywood base.

I am a person with a very active inner child. This is why my wife loves me so. Willoughby, Ohio - the home of the CP & E RR. OTTS Founder www.spankybird.shutterfly.com

It has been several years since I did this, but they do harden as clear. The other interesting element is if it cracks later on, you can reheat and reflow it.

If you are concerned, do a test patch before doing the whole area you plan on covering.

Good luck!

I have a question about the Woodland Scenics E-Z Water. In the bag, the beads look like they have a yellow tint to them, after melting, does this dry clear or does it have the yellow tint? The salesperson said it dried clear, but I wanted to find out if anyone has used this product, I've had too many do overs already. As always, thank-you for your valuable insight.....tom.
