lionel transfer table

Does anyone know if it is possible to power the tranfer table or it's extension, such that the table is always powered and one track can be a pass-thru?

Cheech,

I do not have one of these units. Looking at the electrical diagrams shows that one could simply bypass the controller and connect the lead to the center rail of the rail bed assembly (red lead in the drawings - which is normally connected to the B terminal on the controller) and this would cause the center rail of the transfer table platform assembly (where the loco sits) to be energized everytime the platform is aligned with a set of tracks (the bed assembly apparently has an insulater on it's center rail to control this). Thus bypassing the controller as described should allow you to use the table as a run through track.

Go here to see the electrical drawings yourself.

Good luck. Regards,

Hope it works for you. The transfer table is one of my favorite accessories.
