Great going. This is the first layout I've seen with the MRC.

Thanks guys for the favorable comments. Will try to post more pictures as time allows and I find the CDs that have them on. I like the MRC transformer real good so far. I am running in conventional mode at the present time. Don't know if I ever will go to remote. Have to think about this some more. Did look at using MTH DCS System but seemed too complicated for me. Haven't been in this railroading hobby very long. Only about two or three years.

Roy,

Hope you don't mind me offering an opinion on the MRC. I have the Dual 270, bought just last year, and use it to power two of my DCS channels. It's plenty powerful.

I'll tell you how fast the breakers are - I front end my TIU with fast-blow fuses. There are times where the MRC breaker pops before the fuse blows. And I gotta tell you, these fuses blow if they just think there's going to be a short!

I like the transformer. I especially like that I don't have to get into 'bricks'. Plus, it's footprint is smaller than the Z4000, but it obviously is less powerful.

OK, now back to your regularly scheduled topic [:D]

Vern,

Looking good. Are you happy with the MRC Dual Power transformer? How is the throttle operation? Does it have automatic circuit breakers or pushbutton?

Roy
