Here's A Deal For You, Chief
Posted by Frank53 on Sunday, October 9, 2005 2:34 PM
Since you're on teh lookout for some buildings, here's a deal for ya.

I will personally build a switch tower for your layout, like the one shown below:

This is a classic reproduction of teh famous switch tower at "Broadloom Junction", which is just down the way from "Berber Yards" and across town from "Karistan Krossing".

Just let me know when the benchwork is done and it'll be on the way. [:D]

Frank, Chief - That looks like a Lionel tower that was out maybe ten years ago. I have one on my layout.

Roger:

That is actually an original Plasticville switch tower from teh 50's or early sixties. I paid about a buck for it when I was nine or ten years old and it was on the layout my Dad and I had. I found it in my old train stuff in it's original box with all the parts, except for teh smokestack.

Looked like this before I redid it.

here's a better shot of the finished product:

I don't expect to see benchwork until 2012.[:)] This is the same year that the Bengals will win the Super Bowl, the Indians beat the Reds in the World Series, the Columbus Blue Jackets win the Stanley Cup, the Cleveland Caviliers win the NBA and of course the world record Walleye is caught through the ice from Lake Erie on July 4th.[:D]

Frank, You won't have to weather it, just build it now, put it in the back of the closet and it will have plenty of time to weather naturally. [swg]

I even see empty space behind the junk. Asked her how she got daybed frame in there [didn't know it was in there]??? She replied that it was not easy. [:(!] Who has to get it all out???? ME!!![V][:(!] Progress though.
