Got too many good reports from some of the forum's regulars on Realtrax. Also, *** Teal [who writes articles on train repairs for CTT] has it and recommends it. Top speed is set at 80. Run my diesels at 80 with not problem [72 in curves with some straights in there]. [:p]

hey chief
i would not use realtrax. Go with either Lionel fastrack or atlas. If you are going for realism use either. I heard someone say do not use realtrax anyway. I plan on buying fastrack if i build a permanent layout.

No, don't bother....Tom.
Being down on the floor, it would go right over his head.[:D]

Chief could just put legs on the floor. Instant benchwork.

Chief, so that's the engine. It's a real beauty. You got a good deal.

I hate to bring this up.... But you are running out of floor.

Chuck

That way when the engine falls off the track, it doesn't have to fall far to hit the floor.

Should we tell him that it has speed control so it can't run that fast [?]

10-4, He had tried for months and finally with the cars and the Realtrax [which I will be using for layout], I said why not. Price went down a lot since he started posting it months ago.

Chief, Is that the Bantam that Barry had for sale? Looks good, I gave it some thought but decided not to.

Wow, Tom. What sort of hot rod is that top car - I couldn't make out the markings.

Walt, nothing wrong with your layout. Some people like me love to operate trains and make them do things, others love lots of scenery with trains just passing by. Looks good.

Some day I may have one of those neat permanent layouts but until then I guess I have to work with what I have on my CHristmas only layouts.

In 2004 I ran 7 trains concurrently. here's a shot of 6 of them all passing each other:

A night shot from about the same spot:

And as I've been doing lately, a sketch of my 2004 layout:

Keep up the great picture taking!

Thanks!, those are N-Scale streetlights from Podel Power. I removed the bases and bent the stand 90 degrees and inserted them into the wall.
