End Of Train Dvices
Posted by dougdagrump on Thursday, October 6, 2005 9:09 PM
Are there any readily available on the market. I've started picking up some of the MTH trailer flats and would like to add an ETD to one. There was a two car set by Lionel the other day on E-Bay, JB Hunt, with an ETD on one of the flats but they ended up selling for almost $100. To much for my budget. [V]
As far as making my own, [*^_^*], totally inept.

Doug I have a Lionel CSX boxcar with the EOT built right on one end of it. I got it at a train show last spring for 17 dollars. Thanks, John

Thanks John, We have a boxcar on the club layout that I sometimes use when I run an engine and consist of a more modern era. I would like to find something that could be added to one of my trailer flats.

I suspect that John's boxcar is the same 16622 that I got one from. It was not difficult to transplant it to an MTH Amtrak boxcar. I'm sure you could do the same with a flat car.

Thanks for the input.
Are the circuit boards that control the LED's small enough to be concealed in the undercarriage of a MTH Premier trailer flat ? [tup]

Dougdagrump,if you have the October 2003 CTT, pages 56-57 has an article on making a "flashing rear light and a command-control coupler".It has a complete list of items needed and how to install.[:)]
