RR track software

I've got the freeware from Atlas, but it's not very good - I don't like the way that you access the track elements etc. Is the RR Track software significantly better? Can you use track from multiple manufacturers? Accessories? Can you create custom "accessories" to place on your layout?

Hi Jim.

The answers to all of your questions are "yes." You can buy bundles of RR-Track software that cover practically every track element from all of the manufacturers" Lionel (O and O-27), K-Line (O and O-27), Atlas, MTH, Ross, Curtis, Gargraves, etc. They also provide free updates as new components are added. Accessory libraries for Lionel prewar, post war and modern are available as is MTH, Plasticville, Cornerstone and others. You can also create your own elements as well.

Of course, you have to pay for all of this, but it works so well and is so easy to learn, I highly recommend it. It's accurate and fun to use!

Look up RailModeller on the web. They have a free sample download version that's very nice and very easy to use. Many different types of track can be chosen from. If you like it, buy it.

RailModeller seems to cater only to Mac users (or did I miss something?) . . . .
