I'm looking at using a modified form of Atlas's 0-24 track layout with a outer loop for my passenger. Going to place one accessory (milk and carral) on each side, with the log loader and barrel loader along the front and back (the long portion of the layout) I just need to find a place for the coal loader now. I think this will give me the most for room I have . I can change the dirction of the train and have two trains run at the same time.

heres a link to the plan on atlas site:

Now I need to convert it to lionel O tube track [:)]

On a small layout, like mine, consider using a lenth of "dead track" (that goes nowhere) running along the front edge of your layout. This way, you can fit some operating items, with appropriate car in front, that you can't fit onto the "operating" track. Being up-front, hands-on operating is easy. Joe

Try this website for a great selection of plans:

If you want to design your own, I would suggest RR-Track software, which has several O gauge libraries from tubular O or O-27 to Gargraves, Ross, Fastrack and Atlas. It also has additional libraries for buildings, etc. Check it out at:

I need a little help on a layout plan. All I have is the Atlas program, and it has
nothing for lionel tube track. I want two line, one that just runs around the edge
for my polar expresse set. the center I want to run my 2055. I want to include
my barrel loader, the log loader ( the long one) the milk car and platform, my cow corral and platform and my coal loader (the one with the blue gm engine)
I have 2 sets of 022 switchs (4 total) and want to use 42" curves. I have a area of 10x6 to work with for a layout. (its going in the center of my game room.)
Anyone have any ideas or know where to start looking.
