Buckeye Riveter,

I've been painting for a living for 28 years.

Really outstanding work, Scott! I think your flair for composition and super realism in art is phenomenal. Got a big chuckle out of "Still at the Office". I might have even visited Club 616 while in Santa Ana but I really can't remember ;)

Scott, how long have you been painting? I found it fasinating how you set up the people and objects to paint.

Thanks for all the kind words. I always offer my mailing list one image a year at a discounted price the two months before Christmas. "America's Railways" will be my print this year. It will sell for $100, $30 off the retail price of $130 during my annual offering.

The rest of my paintings can be viewed at: scottmooreart.com

I never realized there was a forum for toy trains until today when I searched for it.

WOW!

Speaking as an artist who also works in oils, I think you've done an outstanding job here. Truly remarkable. Thanks also for the "making of" photos and commentary, which really conveys the thought and effort that goes into making a truly well-done painting.

I'm utterly amazed!! That's very very nice. I love the way you combine all different sizes and even add real people to make a new scene.. You are very talented!! And thanx for sharing the pictures and the "making off" !!

Wonderful work, I really enjoyed the step by step process. Anxious for my wife to see this when she get's home, I think there might a place in the train room for this.

Fantastic! That painting is absolutely stunning! I can't say enough about how great it is! I actually would have thought that it was a photograph at first glance had you not said right away that you painted it. I absolutely love the picture! It captures so much and really touches something with those of us who have a passion for trains. Again, great work!

Leonard,

I used a 'Hafner' wind-up train for the image.

Looks like my first ever train in back 1938---NYC Marx wind-up except the engine was black. My Dad brazed and filed the broken spring many times.[:)]
