6650 IRBM Missle Launcher Set
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, August 22, 2005 11:25 AM
My father remembers a train set he had when he was youger. He says it had the 6650 irbm laucher, a satellite launcher, and a red exploding boxcar. The engine, he says, is steam. I have been looking up this set for a while but i have not foud anything. If anyone knows if there was a set with the 6650 or the exploding boxcar, please help. Anything would be great. Thanks

could be set #2549w:

6470 exploding boxcar
6819 helicopter with flatcar
6650 missle launcher car
3535 security car with rotating searchlight
2349 gp9

there are probably more sets with these cars, but it's what I found at a a glance.

Appears to be fairly hard to come by.

You could also opt for searching for the single items. I don't know if the cars and locomotive in this set have been sold seperatey, but the 6470 exploding boxcar , 6819 helicopter with flatcar and 3535 security car with rotating searchlight I've seen on ebay now and then. You'll need to find out if the GP9 has been sold seperately..
Daan. I'm Dutch, but only by country...
