You might consider the buy / sell board on the OGR forum. See http://ogaugerr.infopop.cc/groupee/forums
SVC trains also has a free buy / sell board where you can post your offerings. See http://svctrains.com/welcome.cfm

Sorry, at the time of my suggestion to start a seperate topic, there weren't all of those responses.

As Doug pointed out, you may have gotten about as much info as you can expect from an internet source.
Your excellent photos have made it possible to tell you much more than, similar requests normally get.

Where to sell, beyond eBay, is a tricky question. It kind of depends on what part of the country you live in.
If you live in the eastern US you will have a better chance of finding a buyer than if you live in the west.
There are getting to be fewer and fewer hobby stores that deal in used equipment. Furthermore, you would
never maximize your return going that route. You would be lucky to be offered half of what a dealer thinks he
can sell it for.

Your best bet would be to find a private buyer, which sort of brings us back to eBay.

One other option would be to contact some of the people who advertise in Classic Toy Trains Magazine.
Most are in the back in the classifieds, but some of the larger ones run display ads.

You've been given values and advice about these cars in your other thread about this.

Atten: Lionel Pre-War Piece Experts...care to give some help?

Hi, I was told by Big_boy 4005 that many of these pieces below are pre-war pieces. I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about them and the price value they are going for these days. I have just recently accquired this lionel train set and I have no knowledge about lionel trains. So any information would be extremely helpful. I was hoping that these trains could pay for my last year of college as well as my first year grad school. [:)]
