Clarification about o gauge and scale

Williams reproductions of postwar such as Trainmasters, GG-1's F-3's, GP-9's, 44 tonners, Berksires, and SW switchers along with aluminum pass coaches and 027 streamliners are virtually identical to postwar Lionel dimensions. Like the postwar models, not all are scale sized but some such as F-3's, Trainmasters, and SW switchers come very close to scale sized.

Williams makes an 027 sized repro of Lionel's Alco FA as well as scale FA-1's. Same is true with 027 GG1's and scale GG1's. Their SD-90, Dash 9, Rectifier, and E-7 is scale sized bit their SD-45 is shortened and a little fatter than scale

Williams engines are the same size and probably out perform the original Lionel issues. They also have a lifetime warranty which postwar sure doesn't have. Williams is a whole lot cheaper too.

I would like some clarification concerning how Williams o gauge and scale engines compare to lionel engines such as the older post war trainmasters, size wise and performance?
