[:0] Gracious, Blueberry, where ya been???? ......[:D] just kidding......

The number one factor would be cost. The F3's by WILLIAMS was ALL NEW tooling, nothing bought from LIONEL, MTH etc. That takes a bunch of pesos!

Other factors are some "extras".: ACTUAL grab irons, steps, hand rails; "wire screen vent" on top, just to name a few.

The F7 molds are so old, they are older then dirt. Williams bought them from "KUSAN" (SP?) many moons ago, ca. 1975. All the grab irons, steps, hand rails are molded into the Shell; no screen top vent..

Hope that clarifies the issue..[:-^]

That's a good price.
Question........ Why are the Williams F 3's more expensive than their F 7's ?
I have a set of F 7's, and they have good detail.
