Check under reviews for a video of the CP set we reviewed last year.

Cancel the wedding and buy all three Williams sets plus the Lionel.

Go with the Williams B&O set. Better looking than the LIonel Santa Fe in my opinion. Probably runs better and pulls better. And, it comes with a lifetime warranty which is far better than the 90 days or whatever LIonel gives you. You just can not go wrong with a Williams

All Lionel all the time.

FEClionel - well, if you put it that way, I guess I'd go with the Lionel for the fact that you get the TMCC (if you want it later on) and the Lionel MAY have a collectibility factor down the road, which the Williams likely will not. I say "MAY" because nowadays, you never know! Of course, if you want the B&O, the Williams is the only game in town right now. As far as looks and performance, I'd say they are both about the same.

OK - Here is the real question the Lionel Super Chief F3 AA w/4 passenger cars in the 2005 volume 1 catalog is going for $689 at CCT retailers and the Williams Classic Reproductions set has the same # of cars - no magnatraction, pullmors or railsounds and its priced around $550. Which do you think is a better value for the dollar - this will be my last big train expense for my wedding.

You can't go wrong with any of your favorites, and you should pick what YOU want since the sets are virtually identical aside from the paint schemes. My personal preference would be for the B&O, but that's primarily because I have boyhood ties to that railroad.

FEClionel --Boy, that's a tough one... they are both really nice. I guess the B&O, but maybe only because you see so many warbonnets around and so few of the other. I'm really pleased with them both. I also have the Texas Special and it's a doozy, too. And the Milw. Rd., but that's a pretty dull paint scheme any way you look at it! They sure did a nice job copying the postwar Lionel versions in all cases. The only difference I can note from the originals is the front pilot is configured a bit differently on the Williams. Nothing wrong with it, just slightly different.

Anybody have B&O F3's? All I have is the catalog drawing and the pictures on the website.

-Warburton - Which you like better the Santa Fe's or the B&O's?

I have the B&O ABA from the Golden Mem. series and they are gorgeous. Don't have the pass cars, but I've seen them and they are nice! I DO have the Santa Fe pass sent (complete) and it looks and runs great! For color, I guess I'd go with the B&O, but don't think you can go wrong whichever set you choose. Hope that helps...

I think I'm going to purchase a Williams Golden Memories AA F3 passenger set. It would be nice to run this set under the tree and not have to worry about it falling off the tracks. The Western Pacific, B&O and Canadian Pacific are my favorites. Does any have any pictures? I'm a floridian so I have no ties to any one line - I just want a beautiful train set to run and have for a lifetime.
