Thanx for the advice ...... I'm OK now with the figures - found what I require.

Although, my guess is that those "wild" animals just aren't made for S scale ....

Anyway, It's the 1:64 bus that's the problem ......

See ya! [tup]

MTH Railking figures look smaller than most "O" ones I have, so these may work for you. Also, Arttista makes a limited number of "S" figures. Joe

White Rose Collectibles makes 1/64 buses, but they might be a little too modern, and you would have to repaint them. Ebay might be your best route if you can't live with 1/50 Corgi buses.

The best site for S scale links that I have found is http://www.trainweb.org/crocon/sscale.html There is a section for vehicles and another for figures - mostly people, but some animals.
Enjoy

You will find that Diecast Direct has many 1/64 cars – trucks. I did a quick search and did not see any buss. Search by SCALE

Where to find 1:64 buses and figures, some help please.

I've recently gotten to the stage with my S-gauge layout where I'm looking for certain hard to find items. My primary interests in the hobby are with HO, and I'm very spoiled by the wide range of options and availability of just about anything I've ever needed. Not so the case with S.

My purchases have come from American Models, S-Helper Service and Port Lines Hobbies, just so you know where "I've been."

I'd like to locate a painted 1:64 bus - long distance or city transit would do - in the 1950's or 60's era. I've located a limited number of road vehicles, but no buses, no a one.

Also, figures of people - in particular railroad personnel, in 1:64 (painted) have been difficult to find. Just when I think I've hit pay dirt I find the "out of stock" or "no longer available," flag. Frustrating ......

Animals in the "wild" are also pretty much non-existent, at least for me. I'd like to find some large animals like deer, elk, moose along with geese and ducks. Preiser has zilch, zero, zip in 1:64.

My search has included all of the common sources and search engines. Just haven't made any progress, including eBay.

Anyone out there have any info [?]

Thanx in advance.
