Which is the real one, I would think it's the first one. But I know nothing compared to most of you hardcore collectors.

Postwar Lionel ran HO for around 10 years and switched importers (Lionel never actually made HO - Rivarossi was one of their importers). The second looks like a cheapened veriation from the mid 60's.
