Steam engines boards may end up in the tender. Still works. Send them an email. Tell them what you have and they will respond with the right product. They can now fit it in my narrow U36B shells of the 80's.

With todays aftermarket electronics manufacturers it is very likely that this unit can be converted. I did a 2020 a few years back when the components weren't as small as they are now. TAS (Train Americal Studios) would be the one I'd start with. They advertise, along with others, in CTT.

The chief concern is space, especially if you want sounds, they weren't available when I did mine so it wasn't a problem. TAS sells the components or you can send the engine to them for installation for a reasonable charge.

I have an older lionel steam engine #1615, Is it possible to have it converted to
tmcc railsounds.
