This group welcomes collectors and operators who have a special interest in Atlas O 36’ and 40’ reefers. It is the fifth anniversary of Atlas’ production of these highly detailed cars. Production includes regular Atlas production as well as several special run cars decorated especially for hobby shops like Norm’s O Scale, Petersen supply Co., The Hobby Station, and others.

The 40’ reefers are ABS highly detailed replicas of Robert Wagner’s amazing scratch built and hand decorated cars (See O Gauge Railroading – October 2001, Run 182). He built 42 complete reefers between 1940 – 1998. His favorite and perhaps most spectacular being the Monarch Foods Reefer.

The group welcomes members who like the Atlas O cars, the original Wagner cars, the prototypes that the O scale cars are based on, or billboard reefer history in general.

We welcome all hi-rail and scale people who enjoy talking the "World's Greatest Hobby", in any capacity.

With open arms, we welcome you and your comments.
