Finding O scale Rivarossi train model kits?
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, November 27, 2002 7:57 AM
I purchased a vintange Rivarossi plastic and metal model kit of the Indiana Harbor Belt 0-8-0 on ebay last week and am impressed by its quality and craftsmanship. Rivarossi manufactured a line of locomotives and tenders for AHM but I don't know if they are out of production. Any help on finding more vintage kits (other than on ebay which I check every day or so) by Rivarossi? Thanks

Just wondering what you paid for it.
I have one un-assembled and was thinking of selling it on ebay.

Rivarossi is still in business manufacturing HO only. AHM disappeared about 15 to 20 years ago. It is now called International Hobby Corp(IHC). Other than ebay, pick up a model train magazine and look for any upcoming shows. I have the 0-8-0 as well. But, mine is largely built up now. I'll probably have it as a static display on my layout.

They show up on eBay fairly often.

Hello
I have a Rivarossi, ready to run O scale , 2 rail DC Plymouth critter I would like to sell, in like new condition, runs very well, no original box. yellow and blue with Santa Fe heralds, factory paint. I also have a Lima O scale , 2 rail DC critter, a Euro prototype, Henschel I believe. It is is nice shape , original box, it had very minor cosmetic only damage when purchased, front headlight missing, it has been replaced with a brass headlight. It runs very well. I bought the two with the idea of converting them to Gn30 in order to add a mining spur to our G scale garden railway but the high cost of O scale track changed my mind. I would like to sell both as a pair to somebody who will enjoy them. No reasonable offer will be refused. Payment via PayPal is required since I am handicapped and getting to the bank is a problem. Shipping paid by the buyer.
Interested individuals can calculate the shipping charge, I am located in western Massachusetts (01226) and estimate the package will weigh about 3 pounds. I ship by USPS Priority Mail Only.
I can be contacted at jimfavre@berkshire.rr.com
Cheers,
Jim Favre
