How do you change pick-up rollers MTH ?
Posted by csxt30 on Saturday, June 25, 2005 9:13 AM
I picked up an MTH Conrail eng. W / # 8265 on it, then when I got it home I saw the rollers are wore down about a sixteenth of an inch. I can't tell if it's a screw or a pin that holds it in. Not a scratch on the body, but I think the tires are wore out too. Thanks for any help on changing those rollers. John

Should have shown the parts before I installed them in the MTH dummy. Actually 2 machine bolts, long nut and plastic insulator. One screws in from the bottom [holds the pickup] and the other screws in the nut from the top to hold the wire. The insulator is sandwiched in the middle of the truck keepping the nut and bolts from touching the metal truck.
