Hey DAVE,
I agree with you on the railroads ruling back then. I also saw during the show last night that TNT is to do a six part show on the west with lots of stuff dedicated to westward expansion of the railroad.

Hi Laz,

I watched it but still prefer my video on The General, with Buster Keating. I've yet to see Disney's The Great Locomotive Chase. Maybe someone could comment on that.

BTW, the 1800s were truly the golden age of railroads; not the 1950s. Back then, trains and ships ruled the world. No cars, trucks, buses, planes or other annoying competitionl

Last night the history channel did a special on espeonage during the Civil War. It was a neat show especially with the Great Locomotive Chase. If you get a chase check it out it probably will be on again in the near future.
