Anyone who comes to Portland can't be too bad. [:)] Actually he was very nice in person and to me at least, seemed to have "winner" written all over him. Very generous with his time too!

I JUST MET MIKE WOLF

Talk about name-droping

I was at Chicagoland Hobby today and there in black, was Mike Wolf, a sort of small Darth Vader, but without the helmet, cape and light saber. However, certainly displaying Vader's FORCE, attitude, determination and all-knowing glaze that says, "This guy makes the best darn trains on the planet! MTH be with you."

He had mock-ups of the Sox and Cubs subway cars, appropriate, given the cross-town series taking place in Chicago this weekend. Also catching my eye was the new MTH's J-1 Pennsy; some fool points out to Mike, not the beautifully executed model; but rather that the front side-lights are Red instead of amber or some such BS!

There were other engines on display notably the "National League Eagles" engine shouting out the Monday Nite mantra, " Do you want play some Football" Then switching into to a play-by-play of the last seconds of the Superbowl.

Anyway no discussions of the lawsuit, but instead what's likely to be next. I asked for a early Rocket, or Stourbridge Lion, or Brother Jonathan, or one of his brothers John Bull or John Stevens, or a Grasshopper, a De Witt Clinton, actually all up to the Consolidation. " Maybe." he says.
