615 Baggage Car for the Blue Comet Question
Posted by nitroboy on Saturday, May 14, 2005 3:03 PM
Was the 615 baggage car lit up. I am cleaning the cars, and I noticed there was no wire from the pickup shoe to the bracket (the other cars, the wire was there, but very brittle)and inside the car, there was a light bulb and socket. Now, the fiber bulb base, where the power wire would solder into, didn't have any solder in it. So, I would take this as a screw-up at the factory and somebody forgot to put the wire in, or the cars were not lighted. The train has been in my family since it was purchased new, and I don't think anybody messed with it.
