Frankly, I wouldn't trust a dealer to give a value on anything. Having been one in the past, I know their goal is to make money. The market for Lionel HO is very small. Generally dealers don't even want used HO, most of it is junk anyway.

Closer inspection of the list leads me to believe that there only a couple of pieces worth much of anything, but you will need to find the right person who wants it. My guess is that the bullion and the sheriff and outlaw car could be valuable to the right person. However as a complete set, it may be more valuable. Original boxes help.

Most of these guys are very reliable and probably would not rip you off. Check your yellow pages under hobbies. Hope this helps?

Sounds like you have some Lionel HO there. Maybe someone here has some idea of the value for those pieces. That information would be a good guide to help you list it on Ebay. My suggestion would be to keep it together in a single lot, and set a good opening price. I'm not sure how many Lionel HO collectors there are, but a few of those pieces sound interesting. Good evening Gentlemen,

Please bear with me while I explain what I have. I have searched all over for a site that I can ask for help. I probably will only be here for this one time and then leave, as I have no other trains except for the ones left here.
I am 72 years old and my husband and son are deceased. So I have no further use for these Lionel cars. I would like to sell them somewhere, but I do not know the value of them. They were rarely used, and in perfect condition.
What I have is:
*** Santa Fe (AHM) G.M. Diesel E8 Engine (No. 5130 SF)
*** Santa Fe Diesel Engine (No. 0535P)
*** Pipe Transport Car (No. 0821-110)
*** Caboose (0841-185)
*** Gondola with Scrap Iron (No. 0865-335)
*** Girder Bridge (0214)
*** Gold Bullion Transport Car (0845)
*** Animated Sheriff & Outlaw Car (0370)
*** Controller (No. 0147)
*** Trainmaster Transformer Power Pack
*** Some Tracks ( looks like they would form a circle or oval if put together.
That is all.. They are all in their original box and very well kept.
I don't know if you can assist me, but it was worth a try. I would at least like to know about what they are worth. I don't know how to go about this and hope someone can help me. If not, I am sorry I inconvenienced anyone.
