Appreciate the kind words ...... actually took a lot less planning than it may appear ...... probably the hardest part was to figure out how to handle those areas where "sky hooks" would have done a better job![tup][;)]

The rope lights are installed along the far (rear) edge of the shelf - the roadbed of the FasTrack and "snow banks" conceal it from the viewer - the light however, still casts its "glow" upward against the white ceiling tiles and the "night sky" background ....... If you are unfamiliar with rope lights, there are several sites out there with pictures .... I purchased mine at Lowes Hardware in 24' lengths ... required two packages for the run. This is wonderful. Very evocative of the movie - how do the blue lights work - or rather where did you place them. I couldn't see them in the photo - are they at the bottom back of the shelf and glow 'up' or something else?

Very nice work! Great scenery and lighting!

FYI: The Beep Commander (tm) works well for TMCC in a Polar. See:

For those of you who have expressed interest in my shelf system for the Polar Express, here's what it looks like at completion ....... (CLICK TO ENLARGE)

It's come a long way since arrival:

It's really nothing fancy ... the wallpaper background is called "Night Sky" - the shelves and brackets are from Home Depot ...... the "snow" is white styrofoam cut with a "hot" sculpting tool ...... the Fir trees are from Faller ... "snow" effect on the trees is Woodland Scenics ... glue is Elmers white mixed at 50/50 ..... oh yes, the run (20 ft x 5 ft) is ringed with blue rope lighting ....... with the lights out, it's "way cool"! That's it!
