Glory Days

It's interesting how you can find toy train related knick-nacks in the strangest places. Last weekend I went to Glory Days Sports Bar. Got one of them colorful drinks that came with a plastic shark filled with blood. Actually, it was some kind of funky coolaid. Also, a green lizard was thrown in.

They give you these TV dials that you can flip channels to different sports channels. I chose the Wallygator cartoon. The friend who was with me donated his lizard and shark so that BB the beagle would have toys to play with and so I would have a little something for toy train fun.

It's amazing, like I said, how toy trains have connections with just about anything.

the rare desert shark was captured by some trackworkers and placed on a train bound for Albuquerque

a large green alligator was spotted coming out of a culvert; down in the Killeen, Texas area, where I used to go to visit friends, alligators would actually show up in the desert areas after floods!

BB the beagle remains skeptical of desert sharks. She thinks it's a bit fishy

Cute, Dave, but what kind of a drink comes with a plastic shark? A paper umbrella, ok, but a shark!

I think the shark does make an excelent flat car load. I remember an old picture of a "Whale shark" on one. The alligator? Maybe a used car salesman.
