Spanky: it is the same person that Jim used - I recommeded her to Jim!

I have had her make up my entire family and in-laws. I get new nieces and nephews every 2 years (I just re-read that line and it came out kind of funny! My brothers and sisters aren't THAT active [:D]. Obviously I meant new figures) since the younger kids change alot in 2 years. The kids notice new ones too, bet on it!

Samuel: I guess I'll shut my mouth and say we're all entitled to our own opinion and if that's yours then I'm OK with that.

She's the only person that I know that will cut off-the-shelf figures from maybe 3 or 4 differenct figures, rearrange them into the figure that you want, and paint it the way you ask for it to be painted. There probably are others but at $4 to $6 (I've paid $9 once for a mother carrying a baby) I don't know how you beat it.

Thanks for sharing the website. I have bookmarked the site and plan to place an order or two in the next couple of days.

HI Walt, its great to see that she has a web site now. I believe this is the same place that JIm Duda has used. His people are great.

I will have to have some made of me and Spanky

I am a person with a very active inner child. This is why my wife loves me so. Willoughby, Ohio - the home of the CP & E RR. OTTS Founder www.spankybird.shutterfly.com

thx Walt,

I made clay figures for my RK passenger cars (they're in a box somewhere in the attic). If I ever finish my layout, that's what I'll do again.

Well I think that's really neat ! Thanks for sharing that with us. On the lighter side , just imagine who we can have on our layouts now, family, friends, our favorite forum friends, the list could go on & on!! We might be able to put ourselves in an engine, & a friend stokin' the coal ! [:D][:D] Thanks, John

As many of you know, anytime in the past 3 years that someone has asked for a source for 'good' O figures, I always chime in a rave about Marce from Trainsformations. She custom makes figures generally at $4 to $6 per, but she also sells off-the-shelf figures too.

She just now came up with a web site: www.trainsformations.com and asked that I share it with the forum. She contacted me because she's done alot of figures for me and knows, because forumites have told her so, that I recommend her. Her site is in progress and she'll be adding more photos as she goes along. I suggested she have a branch to show off samples of pictures that people send in and the figures that she creates off of those pictures. That's her calling card in my mind and she should show it off so to speak. Here's a sample of what I mean even though it's not the best picture that I have that illustrates the kind of work that she does. The 4 figures that she just made for me of my Brother from California, his wife and 2 daughters. You can see the photo that I sent to her and the figures that she made for me. No doubt who they are when I display them on my layout.

I don't gain anything by you doing business with her and am in no way affiliated with her or her business. I just appreciate what she does and she appreciates that I spread the word!

So here's 2 sample pictures:
