Gov. of NC received a call from Gov. of Ohio. He says to Gov. of NC.
"Our largest condom factory has exploded. My people's favorite form of birth control. This is a true disaster!"
"Well Gov., the NC people would be happy to do anything within their power to help you."replied NC's Gov.
"I do need your help," said Gov of Ohio. "Could you send 1,000,000 condoms ASAP to tide us over?" "Why certainly! I'll get right on it," said NC's Gov.
"Oh, and one more small favor, please?" said Ohio's Gov.
"Yes?" said NC's Gov.
"Could the condoms be red in color and at lest 10" long and 2" in diameter?" said Ohio's Gov.
"No problem," replied the Gov. of NC.
Ohio's Gov. hung up and started laughing with his aides about how those stupid North Carolinians will fall for anything.
Gov. of NC hung up and called the CEO of a condom company "I need a favor. Can you send 1,000,000 condoms right away over to Ohio?"
"Consider it done," replied the CEO of the condom company.
"Good! Now listen, they have to be red in color, 10" long and 2" diameter."
"Easily done. Anything else?"
"Yeah, said the Gov of NC, "Print MADE IN NC, SIZE:SMALL", on each one!!!"

D--- Yankees. [;)]

Jim, the yankees will win the "loudest" contest, since they don't know any better than to put beans in chili. I ate some in Indiana once that had spaghetti in it!

Our local Austin river, the Colorado, is called that because early explorers confused it with the muddy Brazos River.

How 'bout a good ol' fashioned showdown (of sorts)...North vs. South

Yankee Captain - Buckeye
Rebel Captain - Chiefie

Events:
Paris Hilton (Yankee babe) vs. Gretchen Wilson (Redneck Babe) in a mud wrestling match.
Chili cook off - Buckeye's recipe vs. Chiefie's
Loudest fart contest - (follows Chili cook off - 1 Yankee judge vs. I Southern judge)
Lawn mower race - Spank's design vs. Bielen's - no horsepower or size restrictions - race what you bring!
Beauty Pageant - Buckeye's neighbor lady vs. Chiefie's neighbor lady
Fishing Contest - Buckeye vs. Chief on neutral water: 20 miles out at sea from San Diego
Final Event - Tug o' war - All Yankee forum members vs. Southern forumies. Each team stands on opposite banks of the Brazos river in TexASS and pulls the opponent into the murky brown water.
Small Layouts are cool! Low post counts are even more cool! NO GRITS in my pot!!!

Actually if you go to google and type in the following:
define:yankee
(with a colon) you'll find out every thing you'll ever wanna know about yankees.

Here's a direct link to google's definiton of yankee:

[:D] Good one, Bob!

I can tell if I'm in Yankee territory when . . .
- I'm told that iced tea is "out of season" (happened to me in OHIO once!)
- the corn bread has sugar in it [xx(]
- the iced tea (when in season [sigh] ) DOESN'T have sugar in it
- I order grits and can't get them (but I CAN get "home fries"!?!)
- people say "youse giz" instead of "Y'all"
- people refer to the past unpleasantness as the "Civil War" instead of "The War of Northern Aggression"
- the roads are salted and the green beans aren't
- it's 80 degrees and people complain about the HEAT?!? [banghead]
- church pews have doors on them
- baseball players wear pinstripes [;)]

"For foreigners, a 'yankee' is an American. For American southerners, a 'yankee' is a northerner. For northerners, a 'yankee' is somebody from New England. For New Englanders, a 'yankee' is somebody from Vermont. For Vermonters, a 'yankee' is somebody who eats apple pie for breakfast."

Now Steve. You need to get it right. When you say Yankee, you then spit on the ground. That is a requirement. Only exception is the NY Yankees. Now that is my baseball team. Yankee is a 6 letter word that is really a "four letter word". Dr. John is only allowed to use the Yankee word when used in discus but not other "four letter words". [;)] Orgination of the term Yankee goes way down deep inside the earth. Think the Devil and Yankees are kin. [:D] They even try to claim that Canadians are Yankees. We know they are not. Canada and England helped the great South during the War [which the south is still fighting]. So, remember to spit on the ground everytime you say that word.
