American Flyer 325AC Hudson problem
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, April 9, 2005 8:27 PM
Hi- I bought a slightly used 325AC Hudson a few years ago, and finally got around to putting it on a friend's layout. The trailing truck is holding the rear drivers up clear of the rails by about 1/16 inch! Is this a problem with my engine only (factory error?) or all 325AC's or with all Hudsons? I don't think I had this problem with my 1946 model Hudson, when I got this for Christmas 1946! And can anyone tell me the best way to correct this? Thanks- Richard W.

Is the smaller wheels on the front of the trailing truck, or is ther a washer between the truck and the frame, my diagram shows no washer and the smaller wheels in front.

Yep! Small wheels forward, and no washer. In fact this is the only way the trailing truck will mount to the frame. - Richard W.
