Okay....I had to find out. Looks like my black market sanwich operation is on hold....at least for right now. The patent that they want is for their
"Uncrustable" sandwich. A crust-less, sealed sandwich. Here is the link from the Wall Street Journal.

I have to say their product looks an awful lot like something I started making when I was 2 or 3 .........I think they are going to have to pay ME!!!!!![:p]

Hello All: How long was the News report? 1-2min. All that free advertising on all the big networks, sounds like a plan to me. Regards Steve

Guess I should patent a carne asada burrito. Just in my town I would be a millionaire by next week.

Silly, silly, silly.

After pulling KP in the military, 35+ years ago, I haven't been able to eat fried bologna since. It was enough to even turn my cast iron stomach. [xx(]

Smucker's, a proud Ohio Company, is just trying to keep some of our money from leaving our state. Next week, our Amish community is going after the patent for black clothing.

I'm thinking of getting a patent for the name "MAIN STREET" If your town is using this name for a street, I believe I should get at least $1,000 per sign. So turn in your town now and I will share the riches. Wait and you will get zilch.

While the patent office is issuing patents for old standbys, I'm going to apply for the "Stewed Tomato and Boiled Okra Sandwich" so's you have to lift and eat fast afore it falls through the crust.

A lot of folks in Austin and San Francisco swing sideways...I'd better tell 'em about patent infringement...!

Dave, it was peanut butter and jelly sandwich. They are trying to get that approved. Seems Patent Office is getting to crazy. Some kid got one for swinging sideways.

The patent examiner must have been raised in a foreign country. I don't know anyone who grew up without peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Enjoy

Peanut Butter Patent
Posted by FJ and G on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 6:34 PM
I'm sure most of you tuned into the evening news this evening and saw the piece about Smuckers Peanut Butter patenting the peanut butter sandwich, meaning you can make your own but you cannot sell them, as Smuckers has the patent.

Just wondered if toy train companies patent everything they make or only certain things like command control.

Not that I'll lose any sleep over it; just curious, as I'm sure someone out there may have some tidbits of knowledge to spread; not unlike a peanut butter spread. (Hey, I'm old enough to recall the first fluffer nutter spread commercials)
