This was in the New York Times this morning. Not much of an update really.

Tribute to Neil Young

Neil Young, who underwent surgery for a brain aneurysm early last week, was given a special tribute at the Juno Awards in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he began his music career. Mr. Young, 59, was forced to cancel his much-anticipated appearance in his hometown and instead watched the show on a special television feed at the Canadian consulate in New York, according to the show's producer. As part of the tribute, K. D. Lang performed Mr. Young's song "Helpless," backed by the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra. The Winnipegers Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman, of the Guess Who, also performed at the show, Canada's version of the Grammy Awards. The big winners of the night were Avril Lavigne and the hip-hop artist k-os, who each won three awards. The new artist of the year went to the critically acclaimed indie singer and songwriter Leslie Feist. COLIN CAMPBELL
