Boyd,

You left out one of the really neat accessories Lionel announced for this product.

For those contemplating an outdoor layout, there is a solar cell option for the roofs of the passenger cars.

Regards,
Roy

April Fools aside, I would be interested in something like this in O gauge, like the K-Line battery-powered sets - they make it easier to get started in the hobby without any worry about wiring.

Running over 20 years late, Lionel has decided to revive its long forgotten plans to manufacture a radio controlled train. Citing competition from LGB and collectors who wanted the potential of running their train outside. Lionel is releasing an A-B-A set of F3s in BN green, Sante Fe, and Norfolk Southern. The A-B-A set has the battery pack in the "B" unit, reciever in the trailing "A" unit. Both "A" units are powered by one truck. The train set comes with 5 specially made lightweight matching passenger cars. Development on this special set was 5 years in the making. They had trouble with the train losing signals in tunnels until they ran 2 wires all the way through the train and mounted a 2nd antenea in the last passenger car. Release date is scheduled for August 1st 2005.
