Hey Ben, have you ever seen an 022 switch like this?

Can't say that I ever have, or anything even close to that. All the ones that I have read
LIONEL
REMOTE CONTROL
NO. O22
"O" GAUGE SWITCH
on the name plate.
Could that one possibly be a prewar switch?

Yes, I think this switch is of prewar vintage. I picked it up in a bunch of junker 022's at a Florida train meet a couple of years ago.
