Painted my MTH Texas & Pacific Mohawk

I finally got sick of the silly blue and white paint scheme and paited this loco and tender with ultra flat black Bar B Que paint from Home Depot. I must say, it looks great, like I remember real steamers looking. I know that these locos really did come with the blue and white paint when they were first put in service, but they were painted black a few months later

No, they weren't painted black a "few months later." Those engines ran in that color scheme most of their lives. The ones that weren't in that scheme were in the olive/Russian Iron colors. T&P used classy schemes for those engines, not just the "silly" black.
