I have old Marx automobiles, Hallmark Lionel engine ornaments, and wooden 'logs - blocks on my flats, wooden blocks (with a loop of yarn so they can picked up by my Marx crane) and empty wire reels and misc. metal magnets in my gons. No passengers yet - though I am experimenting with inserting my own home-made strip of silhouettes for my 248's passenger cars.#629 and 630. We make plenty of noise - with wooden 'lung-powered whistles and the MRC 8000 Soundmaster.

I put a load of timber made from tree branches in my Lionel NYC starter set flat car. The set came with Railsounds, so I have no need to do the voices. They're already built in. My 3 kids will make train whistle noises (wooo - wooo) when they want me to blow the train's whistle. They're all under 5 years old though.

I've been trying to populate my engines with seated figures, but I'm having a hard time finding some. What good are Railsounds Tower/cab conversations if there is no one in the cab, right?

Yep,

I do all that stuff, exept I don't have any passenger cars, I just pretend the railroad has none, so I conect my New Red Eire Caboose and My Postwar M&StL Caboose, that I cleaned my self.

But, I also like to make up staories and say them aloud like the narrator on Thomas The Tank Engine Videos.

But, I plan to have some passenger cars. I think I'll buy Lionels Pennsylvania or New York Central Passenger add on pack.

Got to go. I am in the library in the morning and the bell just rang.

I am going on a trip to Lakewood Elementary To deliver books we made with th kids who did the project, and then we are going to Myrtle Beach State Park for the rest of the day (well, until 1:30, but we go to class and just sit and read or talk the rest of the day).

I saw some great little tin rocket ships on e-bay. Thought they would be great in a gondola or flat car, but they were in Hong Kong - 15.00 for shipping alone. Always liked the Christmas trees in the gondola car.

I don't do voices dude - that's a kid thing - but I play with trains, and my trains are really toylike. Colin, now that I think about it, I just want to be your age and do the voice of the engineer and conductor!
My advice - Don't ever grow up. Play with trains and have fun!

Do you guys put figures in your passenger cars, and do you do the vioce of a conducter or engineer and the voice of people? I do.

I especially I love to make movies of my trains on my Digital Camera.

Do you guys do any of this?

,
Colin
