2023 UP Yellow/gray Alco AA units. These early Alcos are great pullers and look good on smaller layouts. Pulling 1950 yellow/gray pullmans of course

671 Turbine, the later one with the heater element smoke box, pulling green/gray pullmans

221 (yes with the blue tin passenger cars

1656 Switcher for work in the freight yard

2032 GG1, I know this single engine version is way underpowered and can barely pull the heavyweight madisons,, but the buzz-box did not require a battery, so no battery damage on my mint engine!

Hello,

Here is my next list.

1. 746 Norfolk & Western J (Lionel should have painted some 0-27 Steamliners or Aluminum Streamliners in the Norfolk & Western Roadname and paint scheme, but Oh, well)
2. Union Pacific "Anneversery" Alcos and 0-27 streamliners
3. 773 Hudson and Madison Cars
4. 1954 2353 Santa Fe F3 Superspeed Liner
5. 1954 Texas Special Freight and Passenger Sets

Hello Nick ! In 1981 Lionel did paint a set of Aluminum passenger cars in the Powhatten arrow Paint scheme and again in 1995. My favorite postwar engines are: 637,2046,736,726,675/2025 series engines................Keith

Yes,

The GG1 is nice, but the early one will not find a home on my layout, because of it's lacking Magne Traction, but the 2332 was one that a family member has and runs around the tree (I have found alot of family members with Lionel).

I would also like to buy the 671 Turbine with the 2400 series 0-27 streamliners, and the one from 1950 with the 681 and the silver 0-27 Streamliners.

mine are the last 5 that sold at an auction about 7-8 years ago. i went to modern 3-rail scale 100% and have never regretted it. the one thing i kept was a2344 nyc aba-lionel did get it right when they made the 2 motered engines.

My favorite postwar loco is the 2065 with matching 2046W tender. While this loco is definately not scarce or hard to find, to me it's looks say: "Postwar."

My other favorites are the NYC 2344 ABA
671 Turbine
UP AA 2023
and any of the GM Switchers.

Hey Ya'll

I like that Hudson. That and many other 0-27 and the 1950 773, will find a home on my layout and christmas tree layouts.

Now that I get my job back in 6 days, (Pays $7.50 an hour, get $44 or more for a day, $134 or more for 3 days, and $268 or more for 6 days) My entusiasem for a christmas tree layout is running wild.

There is going to be 3 sidings, a coal loader, a lumber loader, the gateman, and if I can find one and can afford it, a Bascule Bridge. I might go for a reproduction.

Oh, and a 133 or a 132 station with a few matching station platfroms (There will be 2 tracks in the station).
